Hello everyone, im going to the south on france in two weeks, and ive been told bull bars and solid bumpers are illegal, does anybody know if this is correct as i would rather put the original sportrak bumper back on before i go if its likely to cause problems. cheers ozman.
Bullbars in France
Hi, I'm not sure of the legal side of things but I've been going down there for years in Sportraks and Fourtraks fitted with Bullbars or A-bars with no problems. On one occasion the Police gave advice re. overnight parking in a service station and never mentioned the bar. I've seen many French 4x4s and vans with bars fitted recently (just arrived back on 5th April)so it would appear it's ok. Maybe it's worth checking out with the French Tourist Board website, they give motoring info. If anyone knows anything different, shout up please 'cos I'm heading down there again in Summer.
