Forum:
been looking at the prices of sportraks at the moment, looking at how much i may be able to sell mine for to get something else for repair/driving (maybe a fourtrak)
it seems at the moment for a 1995/96 1.6 elxi with MOT and some tax the price is around £1100 - £1350, in fact theres one in the autotrader at the moment in glasgow for £1350 which is exactly the same as mine only without the ICE and some other new parts.
does anyone know how much i would get for mine, or how much to advertise it for?
1995 M 1.6ELXi DOHC 16v, 86k, full service, 12 months MOT, new timing belt, tyres, k&n. perfect paint job. No Rust, chassis waxoiled. Hardtop, with removeable front and back roof. T-Bar. Full electrics - windows, mirrors, boot. Kenwood head unit/sony amp/Fli 200w speakers. Part polybushed. immaculate inside & out. long list of new parts.
Thats the advert i would use i reckon.
any comments or ideas?
Sportrak values
Unfortunately the value of Sportraks has gone down considerably and it is hard to determine where to pitch your price at. It all depends on Edition eg Limited like the Midnight or Anjou etc, condition, service records etc. An example is I got a really good P reg Anjou, in excellent condition throughout no service record and certainly none of the ICE you mentioned, last Sept for £1300. I would not have said I was robbed in any way and in fact was very surprised at what I got for so little money, however, I have seen others struggle to make £1000. The dealers are even pitching their prices much lower on Ebay under classifieds than they were then. I have to admit that I have kept my J reg which I paid £7000 for in 1994 because the price I'd get is stupid and it is worth a lot more to me and has never let me down in 100K miles. I expect it could easily do that again.
Have a look at the completed items list on ebay and that may give you an idea where to pitch the price. You will be dissappointed probably at how low some go and that is why I won't sell, preferring to run them into the ground at almost zero cost and now zero deflation.
