Wheel spacers

I just bought some from Bronco, been on my F20 about a week but only been out twice with them. First impressions are that they do exactly as they say on the tin, in other words if its the "chunk" factor you're after then go for it, the extra 60mm track doesn't sound like much but the difference is really noticeable when you look at the vehicle from head on or from behind. It also allows for some extra leverage against the springs so mine felt like it was flexing more readily off road and definitely felt more stable on the bends on the road. I am impressed so far but wouldn't buy the cheap ones with extension studs to screw on the original studs - the aluminium ones with new studs pressed into them look much more reliable and these are the ones I bought. You might need some new wheel nuts to fit them, the Daihatsu ones are 21mm hex (too wide) and too long to fit inside the spacer. I bought some 19mm hex ones which were only 17mm tall so fit in nicely. The new nuts supplied with the spacers were then used to hold the wheels onto the spacers (different thread anyway, M12x1.25 which is the Suzuki thread instead of M12x1.5 which the Daihatsu uses).

Hope this is useful

Alastair.

I've had them on my sportrak

I've had them on my sportrak and they where ok. I bought them off ebay for £50 and they did the job, but if i was you i'd look for some cheep fourtrak rims, they don't give quite as much offset but would be more gental on the bearings and alot stronger than the spacers.if you do go with the spacers, and you like your offroading you'd probebly have to consider suspention lift as the tires will foul the arches when articulating. mine had a 2" lift, some 30" m/t's and 32mm spacers and i never had any problems.
