Hijet diesel (lombardini 1200cc) 1997

Forum:

Hi
Ive seen on this site that the diesel model seems to suffer from overheat, I have tried all the tips on here RE bleeding and air locks etc I have come to the conclusion that in my case its the water pump which is the cause of the problem.
What I really need to know is how easy is it to change the water pump? I managed to source a pump and had a look under my truck and thats when confusion set in,I wondered if any one could answer the following questions:
1) How do I get the plastic covers off the cam belt area?
2) Will I need to remove the lower pulley?
3) Will I disturb the timing belt while changing the water pump?
4) How long should I give myself to do the job?

5) Has any other diesel hijet owner ever wondered whythehell you bothered buying the damn thing?
6) Has anybody got a diesel hijet that stays cool, and has a temp gauge that wont shoot up and down at the slightest sight of a hill?
thanks for any help you can give me.

PS I actually really love my little truck but this overheat thing is really driving me mad

Cheers....................Mike
