DAIHATSU FOURTRAK XENON H4 METALBLUE HEADLIGHT BULBS
I saw this on ebay for like 15 quid and was wondering how good are they plus it says : THE IMAGE SHOWS H4's - HOWEVER, WE WILL SEND YOU THE CORRECT BULBS FOR YOUR CAR IE: H1, H3, H4 OR H7

Ok so would my fourtrak 97 need the H4 bulbs like it said thanks for your time.

Blue headlamp bulbs.

Blue headlamp bulbs are crap! My oppinion Wink
If you realy have to have blue-ish buy some philips power2night 130 or 150, ie 30% or 50% brighter.
They look blue in the unit but give a bluey/white light.
Not cheap but you can get on ebay for less than rrp.
My favourites are Osram Silverstar, xenon white 50% brighter and at a good price, also Autoexpress test winners!! Blum 3
Dont buy cheap foreign bulbs, the inners can be out of line and cause beam distortion, also some disguise the wattage and can melt your wires or headlamp.
Do some online searches for whats best and all will be revealed????
Fourtrak should be H4, only very early series i think were different.

Fancy Bulbs

I would suggest you save your money.

I fitted these bulbs, made by 'Philips' as I am always trying to find how to improve the headlights on my Fourtrak. They also came with 'free''Ultra Blue 3400 Kelvin (the rating) side light bulbs, they are still in the packet.

On the night I first used them, I had to stop and change back to a spare set, absolutely useless items in the type of headlight /reflector fitted to Fourtraks, probably brilliant in a more recent headlight with all the fancy reflectors.

I have tried alls sorts of types of H4 bulbs, 'Super Brilliant' ,'High Performance', 'Power Plus' in the standard size H4 60/55watt, now I use H4 Rally bulbs 100/140 watt, beware these are not road legal, obtainable from any good rally /motor sport shop, do'nt think Halfords would have any!!!!. If you use these make sure your dip beam is set low, and your wiring is up to scratch, especially the earth. I rarely use the full beam, (do,nt need to fry eggs while driving) as I use a set of spots instead

I just got fed up with driving with candles, thats what the standard light output seemed like and when some one came up behind, the truck threw a shadow right in front of me, yup, they more likly were modern car with fancy xeon bulbs and the multiple reflector lights, probable some one more knowledgeable can throw more light on the subject !!!!, and I have not yet ,after many MOT,s had a problem with the headlight test, except for a sticking dip/head switch, a shot of WD40 and a good working sorted that out.

WHITE/BLUE LIGHTS

I agree save you money or spend it on spots. The bluey lights may look nice in the unit and yes the normal yellow H4's are a bit dull but the blue light give off a white light but with no distance. I do a lot of night driving in France where the roads are either huge or very narrow with deep ditches. I thought the whiterlights would be better but am really glad that I have good spotlights or I would have been in a ditch many times. Funny enough the side blue lights are quite good and brght, but then you don't ask for dstance from them.

I have an AUDI A6 with modern reflectors and yes bluey lights, still crap at night and I use the built in fogs for extra lights spread.

Please note...My opinion only.
