Hi, I have a 1990 sportrak, and after coming back from holiday I found my drivers side glass cracked, the housing seems ok though !
Any suggestions as to where to get a replacement and are they hard to fit 
a friend said that you can get a stick on new glass
at most motor spares shops, are they any good though

Just got one for the passenger side . It's an order job from PARTCO and sticks onto the broken mirror, firmly. Halfords had nothing. I would imagine any local Motor factor or Parts shop will be able to get one as most use PARTCO or the like.

Totally agree with oldminiman, most factors will supply a glass, these are ok, I have done many of them over the years, care is needed when lining them up though.
My tip is to warm the glass up before installing it, or install it and warm it with a hair dryer, this softens the adhesive, and allows a better bond, apply a little pressure to the glass while it cools. allow it to cool thoroughly before using the vehicle, as my neighbour tried it, drove off in his vehicle, and it fell off twenty yards from his house as he hit a large bump.
