Up On The Roof
These have not been available for a number of years, secondhand is the only option, or having one scratch built by a local fabricator.
Free ads, web sites, or e bay is the best option, other suggestions are find someone breaking one and see if it has a roofrack fitted.
Full-Length Roof Racks
I searched for one of these for ages, only succeeding in actually seeing one in the flesh prior to it's sale on eBay; It was heavy, ugly, and rusty, but still sold for over £80!! I gave up and made my own from 25mm x 25mm ERW tubing. Go the same way, Old Chap! Good luck.

If you're anywhere near West Yorks I can fabricate one to meet your requirements at a reasonable cost,

Is there nothing you cant build dogsboss????, hows the rock sliders coming along???, i went to halfords to get my universal ladder roff rack it works well, you can add bits to these to modify them for what you want, they are made of alluminium and nice and light, just bolt on what you want.
Full of ideas but no time to do them!!

rock sliders
I've finally got them off to the powder coaters, I'll post some pics when I get them back. Found a solution to the mounting by the fuel and brake lines aswell.
On the subject of the roofrack I did the same thing on my old white SWB, 3 ladder bars and a roofrack off a peugeot van, it,s been on the last 4 vehicles I have owned and is incredibly useful, you can see it in the gallery. It's now on the Landcruiser I have just aquired however it is no good for a LWB Fourtrak as there is no gutter on the rear part of the body. We had a genuine Daihatsu roofrack on the independant we have just sold and this mounts to the gutter above the doors and bolts to four of the tailgate gutter trim mounting bolts using large spreader plates at the rear. The main frame is a clever design but unfortunately it's a little badly thought out elsewhere, there are no decent lashing points and the platform is not very heavy duty as it's all made from thin U section alluminium which cuts through straps or rope over any distance and they all run front to back with only 1 crossmember in the centre which is thin U section steel making it really difficult to secure loads to it. For something expedition like I think maybe I could improve on the platform utilizing the mounting design. Hmmmm..... sounds like I have yet another project on my list now!!!
On The Rack
Suggestion for you Dogsboss, in 2005 i made one in titanium alloy, exrremely light and durable, this had to be easily detached to fit into car parks, the same principles may be of some use.
Fabricate mounting plates for the rear body, to these weld some tube, drill a small drain hole in the bottom to drain off water, on the front gutter, fit two clamp mounts with a cross bar, these can remain on the vehicle.
Manufacture the two sides in tube, similar to original style, and manufacture the centre. Clipped the front end onto the cross bar into its location, the back simply slid into the tube, repeat this with the other side, drop the centre in which locates it all together.
Hope this is of some use.
