Hi,
Can anybody tell me why there is a little plastic stopper, that prevents the Speedo needle from returning to 0 and lets the needle sit on 5 miles per hour when stopped ?.
As its very frustrating and also puts MY Speedo reading (according to my GPS) out by 5-8 miles an hour.
Thanks Malc

Yes I found that a bit odd and took my apart and removed the pin. The needle if I recall correctly then went well below zero so back the pin went to avoid speeding fines. I can only think that the dials have a problem and that was a cheap solution.

Thanks and is it easy to take the pin out without breaking it ?.
SPEEDO
Hi
As far as I can recall it just pulled out of the hole with no force. It went straight back in so there was no problem, I just didn't like the innaccurate reading it gave although I admit the 5mph at stationery was as annoying.

I will have a fiddle to see if I can get it on the correct MPH
Hijet Speedos.
Just for information...
The EFI 993 Hijet Owners Manual has more than one speedo featured...
One is set at 5MPH in the drawing...so this must be a "feature" of that particular speedo.
(Also, it is the same as ours!)
