Hi All,
I'm just quickly wondering how easy it is to do the grease change on the bearings as instructed in the service manuals manuals. It seems as thogh you have to strip the hubs apart to get at them to simply apply grease. Is this so? and how long does it take? Is it difficult/ complex? Many thanks in advance for any contributions.

Well Greased
Easily done in twenty minutes a side for a beginner, remove the wheel, six studs from the hub, and it comes apart; inside, dependant upon the model, are a plate with a spring inside it. You do not need to remove this normally, scrape out as much grease as you can and repack with a good lithium based grease, preferably a waterproof type.
Normally it takes me about twenty minutes a side, this includes drinking my cup of coffee, once you have done a couple, this will drop to about 10 minutes a side.
Many thanks
That's brill news....
The ruddy diagrams in the manual scared the shite out of me, not good if you're Shiteknight. Glad to see coffee can be incorporated into the service as I'm useless in the morning. Thanks once again Assasin, you're help is much appreciated.
