Hi.

Just bought a 1991 sporty with a carb....

The carb is badly worn, the mixture is getting rich when you back off to cruise at a constant speed, the only way to drive it is to accelerate for a few seconds, then back off then accelerate again, if you keep a constant throttle the car overfuels and floods causing total loss of power, back off and accelerate again and its OK, put it on a gas analiser at a friendly MOT garage and at idle the HC is around 500 then as you accelerate and hold a higher revs the HC goes up and up.... got to about 4000.

I have tried to find a second hand carb but no one seems to have one so...

Does anyone know if this is fixable within the carb, I haven't taken a carb apart since my old mini and this one looks like a nuclear reactor compaired to that one....

Does anyone have a carb for one I could buy?
