Forum:
On Saturady Our P reg, 50k mile, Fourtrak TDL suddenly won't let me engage reverse. No horid noises, all other gears fine, clutch appears OK. After approx 50 continous attempts it suddenly popped in perfectly. Then again this morning and after 30 tries in it went.
Any ideas, how expensive or tricky can it be.
Thanks
David

If you look at the first link
If you look at the first link, you will see I answered it. If the reverse pivot bolt has dropped out, you WILL NOT get reverse, no matter how many attempts you make. I would be more inclined to check you clutch adjustment. See if there is any slack at the firewall adjuster. As mentioned elsewhere, with the square cut gears of reverse, it can be harder to engauge than a forward gear.
