Hi, my first post of many i think.
I have a 1998 hijet mpv 1000cc, it has recently been making a slight knocking when cold which gets better when hot so i inspected the big end bearing shells (which looked fine) but i still purchased new and wanted to change them. I found a website that gave the torque settings as 58.8 NM but using that setting i snapped one of the bolts Anyhow i now have another set of bolts on order (+1 spare) and i need to find out from you guys,,is this torque setting correct? are those bolts pressed in? if so i assume it is a head off job to extract the piston to remove the snapped bolt.
cheers,,,steve
