Need help in fitting a relay for an auxiliary battery,what colour wire ?

Forum: 

I am fitting a relay for an aux battery,I have pulled the connector off of the alternator and I have 2 wires:

Blue/white
Red/white

Without pulling off the dashboard can anyone tell me what one of the two goes to the ignition light Unknw

Its a Hijet 1997 pick up cb42 engine.

Alternator Wires.

One wire should be live all the time, that would be the Feed Wire.(To/From Battery)

The other should only come live with the ignition on. (From Charge Light)

(I haven't tried this, so you MAY find both live only with ignition on?)
