Forum:
the upper hinge on my drivers door is worn to hell, i will assume the lower ones fairly worn as well, got myself a good set of tight ones from a rolled track in the scappy, however from what i had to do to get them off you have to take the wing off to access the two bolts on the support frame, is there a way to replace the hinges without taking the wing off ??

Had mine replaced by local 4x4 man and he did not have to remove the wing. Wing retaing bolts are unmarked and he did say it was a quick and simple job, just the weight and not pulling the wires to the window switchs/mirrors, and pleased that I had sprayed up the hinges, apparently they hung the unatached door, window down, on a engine crane, while they worked on it

Doors
Open the door fully and support it on a trolley jack with a piece of rubber on top to stop it marking the door, knock out one of the pins, carefully drill right through the hole left by the pin to the the smallest size you can get away with to make it round again. Find a roll or sellock pin and simply tap it in, repeat the procedure with the other hinge.
Take care to ensure the door does not move, or have an assistant to hold the door firmly while drilling.
