If I had the opportunity to import one of these should I do it? How easy would it be to get parts, get insurance etc....

I'm currently a Sirion Rally4 owner.

If you've got plently of

If you've got plently of money and time do it! Don't think you'll get many spares off the shelf in the UK. You can insure anything if you pay.

I'd definatley would look at the insurance side of things. You could give A-Plan a call and see how much it would cost you. Don't forget though that 4x4 cars that produce > 225GM of Co2 that are registered in the U.K after 1st March 2006 will be liable for the new Band G car tax. Daihatsu aren't to clued up

Daihatsu aren't to clued up on the X4, so you could have a few problems there. Performance parts can be got from Japan quite easily (I've just bought some second-hand D-Sport coilovers for my X4).

As for importing, just make sure you know what you're doing with regards to UK registration. If you bring over the wrong model year, you could have a very expensive ornament for your garage...
