Forum:
I wound up the torsion bars in the front of my sporty to get a little more clearance, but didn't think about it very well.
Now that i have raised them up the front wheels are running with a lot of negative/positive camber (I can never remember which one is which, but the bottom of the wheels is inward and the top is leaning out, so thats positive???) bacause of where the suspension pivots from.
Can I adjust the camber? Where from? Or am I best to just wind them back down?
Cheers
Help me out!
Have wound bars back down and wheels seem to have settled back to normal.
As these are a multi link front it shouldn't alter camber at all raising the torsion bars should it?
Is it ok to drive with the front wound up or am i just going to chew out tyres?!
Has anyone had experience with this?

Hi, the effect on the camber of the wheels you describe is designed into the suspension links to improve road handling, so that in hard cornering for example when the car is leaning over and one side of the suspension is under compression and the other side is extended the wheels and tyres stay roughly parallel to each other and at around 90 degrees to the road surface to give as big a footprint as possible, this mimicks what happens with a beam axle under the same conditions,
How much did you adjust the height by as an inch or two shouln't make a huge difference but much more than this will start to affect the handling significantly,
hope this helps,
bst regards,
Dave.
