Hi people, I'm new to this site and new to this car. I've just purchased one and I'm just wondering what the best methods are for up rating the power on this little beast. Who's best at tuning them?
What parts work best?
Where to get the parts from?
How to get the most out the engine?
If anybody has any answers or suggestions I would be very appreciative to hear them.

Hi just like to tell you,got a works daihatsu challenge ecu for my trxx r4.Fitted this week and it goes like stink.Anybody know what BHP it developes.Just interested...... Cheers Mick49

basically first up if its not turbo then go extractors and a sports exhaust, a cold air intake and high flow filter.
a mild cam will help a lot too
anything upwards of that going the n/a route means port and polish, high compression pistons, aftermarket ecu, aggressive cam which will need uprated valve springs and maybe valves too
if its turbo then it will be easier to get the power with an exhaust system, cold air intake, boost controller and maybe an aftermarker ecu if you want to push the boost past what the stock unit can handle, also a decent intercooler...
possibilities are endless
