Daihatsu Hijet 1300 EFI Exhaust 2001

Hi, I'm just a new member and seen some good stuff on the site and joined, Anyway, I've been trying to get a exhaust system or just the rear silencer for my Daihatsu EFI 1300 for quite some time now but I ain't Harry Potter!! as it seems you have to be to find an exhaust system for these vans.
Anyone with the same problem or know where I can get hold of one??

HIJET EXHAUST

Try a motor factor like PARTCO, they shopuld be able to get one. The vans are still produced by Piaggio as the PORTER so you may find that they can get one under that.

hi I have the same hijet

hi I have the same hijet 1300 efi van and need the back section of the exhaust to pass on the mot as mine has rusted through.
daihatsu too quoted me 200 pounds plus vat.
i have been looking and seen this it is for the 1.2 diesel model but looks the same.
does any one know if it will fit.

hi duane, did you receive any info re your querie back section of exhaust, i have the same prob it seems that stainless system is the way to go, giv us a lineback if you found a good solution, cheers bones 851

1300 efi exhaust

I had a Stainless Steel one made for less than the price of a Daihatsu one!

Apparently these exhausts are in "short Supply" I heard stories of Roy Marshall - customer services manager at Daihatu UK trying to get a supplier.

Not many (if any) of the 3rd party manufacturers list them.

I just found one that could get an exhaust, Kwik-Fit and for the cat and back exhaust they wanted £690!!!!! wrote:Oh but that's fitted the man said......err where's your mask and horse? lol, so with spare parts at that price I'm gonna trade it in.
