I just had some body work done on my 1998 Terios. The workmen had disconnected the battery, and now it wont start. The battery is'nt run down or anything, lights work, ignition lights come on, windows work OK, but still no start.

i dnt do modern cars, well yours is 10 years old but still modern in my books lol
if they connected the battery then they could have set of a sensor or somthing?????
just to check if there is a live feed the the starter, cross the points with a screw driver ect, it should turn over the engine and start, then u know there is either a problem with the solnoid or maybe but im not sure the ignition swich.
when u put the key into the "crank" postition what happens?
click?
or dead?
do the ignition lights go off?
