problem today power steering failed. Has been iffy once before but corrected itself. belt and levels ok .loosened fluid joint on pump and got flow . any further ideas or tests before major take apart. any help appreciated. model year 1990 not independant suspension . thanks nigel

Could you give us a bit more to go on re your symptoms...
Sounds to me like the vane pump may have packed in...if you say belts and fluids are ok !!!
Where are you...I happen to know where 2 4traks are lying in wreckers yard..both still have the steering pumps...just in case it is knackered.
