Hi guys, bought a cheap 1989 Fourtrak 2.8td at the weekend as a temporary replacement for my dead Audi. All seems okay, but the high-low range selector sometimes jumps into neutral when driving in high range. I've jammed a piece of timber between the gearstick and the rear seats to stop it popping out. Is this okay or is it going to cause more wear and tear? How big a repair job is it to fix the transfer box?
