Biggest Tyre and wheel combination for F85

Forum:

Hi

I have had a hunt around the forum but can't find the answer - what is the biggest tyre/wheel combination that will fit an F85 without the use of spacers or a lift?

I would also be interested to know what you guys have found to be the best combination for off road use.

Thanks!

31-10.50/15's on 8J 15 rims.

31-10.50/15's on 8J 15 rims. As for tyre choice, that depends on so many factors. How 'heavy duty' off road do you want to go? How much will she be on the road? Are you going to tow trailers?

Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.

might still rub

31, 10.5 -15's might still rub with standard suspension especially if the springs are soft.

Full of ideas but no time to do them!!

Tyres

'92 Fourtrak 2.8 TDX ( Leaf Sprung F75)

31x10.50 x 15 tyres, All new suspension,(leaf springs, shocks and axle stops), no problem, slight chassis rubbing but Mot tester passed, mud flaps caught on full lock but adjusted with crow bar untill clear. No poblems and they fill the arches nicely and they look right .( AT type tyres). 12 months on an all is okay. Bump/axle stops must be in place or damage will occur to the plastic wheel arch extensions on full compression of shocks/springs as I found out.
