I've decided that as my Sportrak has suddenly became a bit sluggish that it is probably best to see if there is any errorcodes showing as i've been told elsewhere that it could be an air intake sensor fault. However after printing out the relevent pages from the service manual i went out. After spending ages looking for the ECU socket i needed. Which was actually hidden under my alarms siren! Annoying place to put an alarm

After finding it and the darkness and coldness deciding to set in just cos i am looking under my bonnet as usual I noticed that all the holes in it have black rubber in them.

What I am wondering is, does the black rubber push down and spring back after, or do I have to use a pin or something to pull it out?
