Sportrak silly question!

Forum:

Hi - I have a silly question about the daihatsu sportrak.

Where is the toolkit?? (Where the stuff is for changing wheels etc)!

Thanks for any help

The jack etc should be under

The jack etc should be under the passenger seat and if you look under the bonnet you should find a long rod for the jack

most odd

Hi - thanks for your reply, the rod is indeed under the bonnet, but ive had a really good dig around under the passenger seat and so far havent found any kind of compartment. although there is a mysterious n shaped piece of metal. Does the jack (if it is there!) attach to this metal piece somehow? I would have expected to find the things I need to undo the wheel nuts as well as the jack?

Thanks again

Jack rod is red, about 9mm diameter next to bonnet prop.

There's a little plastic tray between the passenger seat and the transmission tunnel to hold the toolbag. The 'bottle' jack is under the passenger seat and is kept in place by jacking it up slightly. To release the jack, rotate the lifting screw (like what you would attach the jack handle to) anticlockwise.

aha!

aha! ok, thanks. It appears then that I have no toolbag or jack! I do have the plastic tray but it has nothing in it. Okdoke thanks for your replies!

PS. if anyone has a spare toolbag i would be interested in buying it!
