Rapeseed Oil Price

Forum:

Hi All.

Tesco's, so every little helps ???????.

Tesco's diesel £1.19.9 per litre

Own brand Pure Rapeseed Oil £1.08 per litre

At this rate, Rapeseed Oil will cost more than diesel !!!!!.

May be it would be more cost effective to run a petrol engine and use the data/books we have re making a Achohol Still, that we brought back from the the States years ago, relating to a replacement for petrol. illegal in the UK !!,that we planed to run our MK1 Land Rover on.

(Rant)

I apreciate there are world food problems, but most of these are caused within the countrys concerned, growing crops for sale on the world market, rather than for home consumptsion, example ,so they grow flowers for sale for example in the UK, rather than food crops that are sold localy, so they get more cash, but their food stuffs cost more as they have to be imported. (ask the supermarkets where they get there flowers from and out of season vegatables.

Tesco's rapeseed oil is now

Tesco's rapeseed oil is now £2.69 per litre!

Considering rapeseed is grown in ever greater quantities and UK farmers are very heavily subsided by the government to do so, why the hell is it this price????

******************

Quite simple really, the current Government could not run the proverbial piss up in a brewery.
Poor financial management, money wasted left, right and centre, and constantly borrowing to cover up their financial mismanagement.
Europe is allowed to dictate to us our farming policy (what policy), the French have the bulk of the farming, the Spanish all our fish, Germany have most of our profitable industry, and we get nearly all the illegal immigrants.
Ask yourself another question, why have Labour got more spin doctors than ever before, and what are spin doctors?
Spin doctors are professional liars and con men, trying to convince us the robbing of the British tax payer is acceptable and for our own good.

tesco prices

Tesco. Thornbury. Bristol

Own brand Pure Rapeseed Oil now down to £1.10 per Ltr dropping nicely, will buy some as my stocks are low. Prior to the surge in diesel prices Pura brand oil was 87 p per Ltr, then went up to £1.08 per Ltr and reached £1.30 a Ltr at the height of the fuel increase

own brand diesel now £1.25 per Ltr

The price of their veg oil seems to relate to their diesel price ??????? and they run a fair buyer policy,!!!!!!! ?????? though this is not stated at point of sale , 10 Ltr per sale, supervisors home in on any large !!!! purchases and get very uptight with you, removing any more than 10 Ltrs from your trolly.

I mix 50/50 veg oil/diesel.

Try bigger Tesco's (Tesco

Try bigger Tesco's (Tesco Extra?). Our local BIG store has 15ltr cans of veg oil for 85p per ltr.

Agreement

Totally agree with EWS's comments, most of the problems are caused by people exporting crops, this is purely political and earns the countries more export revenue.
One thing i have noticed recently is that supermarkets are keeping various veg oils at, or around the same price as diesel, interesting one that.
Special offers on everything, but those items in demand, or with huge profit margins such as veg oils.
Interestingly: the Government is solely responsible for fuel prices, if all the known and stealth taxes as well as VAT on fuel are added up they equate to 80.4% of the total cost. Simply, the fuel companies have to find, extract, transport, refine, and transport again, and only get 19.6% of the cost of the fuel. Government does fu*k all except a bit of pen pushing and yet receives 80.4% of the cost, do not tell me they cannot lower the fuel prices during this time of high crude prices.
