Whats the problem? locate the seats and mark the holes through the subframe onto the floor of the vehicle. Drill, bolt them down and use large washers underneath to spread the load of the nut through a larger area of the floor.

when you buy a bucket seat

when you buy a bucket seat the only subframes that can be bought for them are desiged for sports cars where the seat is very low to the ground. in our case the seat needs to be higher to see out. this is where the problem lies. how can i get new bucket seats to fit to the existing subframe or if there is another way which is easier.

must emphasise again that the truck still has to be road legal

Personally (if the sporti

Personally (if the sporti subframe is not of use) I would make my own out of box section. This way you can line it up with the original boting points on the floor and the bolting points on the seat. You can either do this the easy way making it a solid mount with the chair where you want it, or use the runners from the old seats to make it ajustible.

Is the problem that the seat will be too low? If so does the Sporti seat unbolt from the fraim that does the sliding back and forth bit? The fourtrak does. If so bolt the buckets to the top of the original fraim. You may need to improvise some bolting points, but a little time and a welder ought to solve that one.
