more problems!!!!!!!!

Forum:

Hi again to all,
some feedback to anyone who has been reading my posts and to anyone who may suffer similar problems,to recap i had a fuel leak, radiator leak, and cracked battery connector, ihad the job done by a mechanic on the rad and fuel leak and after the job was done my mechanic advised me that all my brake and fuel pipes were in a state of corrosion that would soon need to be replaced,so since i left the garage,a couple of days later i now have another leak round about where the repair work has been carried out!I will ring him tommorrow to find out what my options are,but it looks likely that i am going to have to replace all pipes for fuel and brakes(for my peace of mind and mot at least!).I was expecting further problems after the job was done, but now it seems that whenever i have one thing sorted out i invariably seem to discover more problems(since i acquired the sporty changing from the volvo, the volvo is still running well!)but i am beginning to like the sporty,so i must find a balance soon, finance v favourability!Anyway i shall keep u all informed as to the eventual outcome, look fook forward to hearing other's probs as they could also or soon be mine, keeep your chins up,
Higgin.

Problems

Hi Higgin,
To put your mind at rest I had a volvo once Had nothing but trouble with it replaced gear box moutings, headlights, waterpump, rear hand brake shoes, serviced carb, timing belt, welding, new raiator, the list goes on and volvo parts were not cheap.
And this was in the first year of owning it, it just goes to show it can happen to any motor.
But you must be close to finishing so hang in there if your pocket can stand it you will be rewarded.

any motor!

Hi Alfie,
Your right about problems that can affect any motor, just seems to be which motor you acquire and end up with,i was reasonably confident with my daihatsu purchase(knowing it needed a new clutch),but i still took the plunge and was half expecting one or two small probs to crop up,yet when i bought the volvo i did'nt give it a second thought and it never needed much doing to it!Well if our expectations have a lot to teach us,thats the only lesson i can learn about buying motors, anyway good luck with yours, probably see you at some off road event sometime,
Higgin.
