The centre number is the profile. 75 will be slightly taller (from rim to tread) than a 70, but not by much. You should be fine with that.

Tyres

Two sizes of tyre were fitted to this model which will both fit the original alloys, these are 255x70x15, or 235x75x15, fitting 235's means you have a larger choice of tyre types.

Fitting 255x75x15's means your overall gearing will be increased by 7%, thus increasing your speed while still showing the same speed on the vehicle speedometer. Speed cameras may be a problem as increased speeds of 7% may incur speeding tickets in areas with a zero tolerance on speeding.
One way round this is to appeal any ticket, a vehicle speedo has to be within 10%, in simple terms a speedo reading 30 MPH may mean the vehicle is travelling between 27-33MPH. This tolerance is due to the fact that the tyre for a Fourtrak may come with 12mm of tread on it, when it wears to the legal limit of 1.6mm the tyre is effectively 20.8 mm smaller in diameter thus affecting the rolling diameter.
