Hi
My wife has recently bought a Daihatsu Grand Drive Automatic
The owners manual is a very bad translation and I don't drive and am a mechanical ignoramus. What does the power setting on the automatic gearbox actually do and when should she use it?
Many thanks
David
Not sure what model you
Not sure what model you have, but auto transmissions that have a "power" and "economy" switch, allow you to choose between letting the car hold on to the lower gears for longer to make the car accelerate quicker and feel less sluggish when fully laden.
The only Daihatsu's I've driven have transmissions that have a facility to 'adapt' to your driving style by storing the parameters in the cars ECU - therefore have no switch!
