Hi ive got an Daihatsu fourtrak f75 model 1988 and it has stopped working. The rac said its proberbly the diaphram in the fuel pump so i fitted a new one i could not get diesel to the pump so i changed the filter pump i now have diesel at the pump and the engine fires and runs very lumpy and wont rev and just cuts out. i have checked the fuel cut off solenoid and removed its plunger this does not solve the problem. there is another electrical component which i have removed to check on the side of the pump i dont know what it does. But as i removed it no diesel came out of the pump and none came out of the cut off solenoid even after pumping filter but when i replaced both components and primed it i got diesel at the injectors and it fires but still wont rev and runs really lumpy an then cuts out any ideas as im at a loss i was going to change diesel pump completly but thought id pick your brains first many thanks just in mud

Hi Just,
It sounds to me like a problem with air getting into the system. check out this thread http://www.daihatsu-drivers.co.uk/node/5458
