sportrak warning lights

i have a 1992 sportrak the engine management light came on anf off yesterday ,now is is not coming on is this a serious problem or a common thing???

If you have the manual, you can short out the connector at the correct pins, and read off the code from the manual. Could be a short-term thing and never occur again, so best not worry too much unless it crops up once more.

Did it at all speeds dave justed flashed on of of at different rates but seems to have gone off now.Engine ran ok.The switch for the rear lock does not work any ideas on this thanks Mark
