Only one side fails? I'm fai

Only one side fails? I'm fairly certain both lights earth through the same swithing contact. However this said the contacts in the stearing column (driven by the lighting stalk) are well known for becomming so dirty (burnt) they no longer work. It is not too much bother to take apart to check. The searing wheel needs to come off, as well as the plastic cover over the column. Then the whole wiper / lighting stalk's asembly comes off over the end of the column. The contacts are housed in a plastic box on this asembly.

Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.

Fit and continuity.

Have you checked for power, continuity, at the light's lugs when the main beam is switched ON?
Check the bulb has been inserted the correct way up so the correct contacts sit upon the voltage lugs! Sounds silly but I had similar problem with rear bulbs.
