Get it recored.
Available from most motor-rad suppliers. Search your yellow pages for car radiators. Numerous companies will make a new rad using the old top and bottom radiator tanks .... its called a recore. Cost approx £90.

got prices, £146inc vat is the cheapest I've found so far. One company wanted in the region of £100 just to repair the split in the top pipe (top cap).
Try another repairer.
£100 to repair a split top tank is plain robbery.
£146 for a recore is a bit steep.
£100+vat is the price you should expect to pay for a recore.
Buying second-hand is a waste of money unless the rad is less than a couple of years old.
NB .. the split is probably below the filler spout - usual place! The tank splits because the top hose is too taught.
Going in
Hi Again,
Cheers for the replys.
It's going in for a look at the rear springs etc. next Monday. It's leaning slightly, want it checked out. The radiator will be done at the same time. I don't really have time, and as I wanted the rear checked I thought I'd have it done whilst its in.
BTW What do you think of £80 for plastic wheel arch extensions (second hand)?
Ian.
