im in the process of putting a sporty on the road (weekend mechanic - see my diary in the general discussion page)
ive got a battery here off my sportrack, it was ok while it was being driven but after three or four days it just died.
i disconnected the stereo, however there still is the clock and the flashing immobilser light.
the question is - the battery has almost no water in it. if i top it up, and charge it overnight with a charger do you reckon ill be ok? im just worried i have a battery drain or my alternators paggered which ive heard costs a mint to replace, and is a nightmare to get in/out.
i reckon the alternator is good, as when the things running it holds a charge for a bit, but then dies. the voltmeter int he dash reads zero!!
