Forum:
I've just bought a used dog guard for my 97 independent. The dog guard is the correct fitment for the vehicle/year but I cant seem to work out how it actually fits. I only have a few thumb screws which were sent along with it. Should I have also had fixing brackets?? Any clues would be appreciated.
Many Thanks,
Paul.

The one I took out of my Feildman had two corner brackets near the top on both sides. These went up against the sides of the jeep, where you screwed wing bolts into captive nuts. The bottom swung free, with the gard just leaning against the back of the seats to stop muttly from comming through. of course this was a van, so your fittings may be diffrent.
Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.
mine has the top fittings
mine has the top fittings but then two lower ones that are about 10 cm long these screw into the anti roll bar mounting then have a thread in the end to screw the dog guard to, so the answer is yes you should have more let me know if you want pictures and I can do some and e-mail them over
