sportrak

Hi there i used to own a sportrak. they dont have many problems but they are prone to head gasket failure so check the rad for signs of oil and visa versa. being an aliminium block they are easily cracked and expensive to repair.

things to look for

Really the only thing to check is the chassis. Look under the wheel arches at the front and you should be able to see it. check for rust, mine has almost completely broken through with tin worm and its apparently a common problem. The rear end should also be checked.

It also doesnt hurt to pull the carpets up and have a look around underneath to ensure theres no hidden rot.

Other than that, enjoy your new sporty, i love mine Smile
