Paint Codes

Forum:

Help. I have a Fourtrak, one of the turquoise blue ones with the silver wheel arches. Does anyone know the paint codes for these so I can get some touch up paint? Thanks.

paint code

Hi.
Lift the bonnet and on the bulkhead (right hand side,facing you), you should find a data plate. with ,engine spec, axle weights, model , ect, on this plate is a paint code.This I believe refers only to the main body colour,not the resin top,if is it a different colour,ie silver,as in my case.

In my case a '91 TDX Fourtrak', the colour code is at the bottom of the plate. 'COLOR - 3H1' this is a metallic red, well red anyway.!!!!.
Hope this helps

Paint codes

carriep - Thanks. I've looked there and the colour code is COLOR - B36 which is black which is the base colour probably! which obviously is of little use. Mine is a 99 TDX Riveria 2. If anyone knows the silver colour that would be the most use.

Hi did a quick Google for 'automotive paint codes' and this came out

Model - Diahatsu
Year - 1999
Model - All

result -----Diahatsu exterior code B26 -Turquoise Mettalic

I have also found ref to B36 and B26 as Turquoise Metallic, 168 as Silver Metallic on Spies Hecker UK http://www.spieshecker.co.uk/portal/en?page=1.1.1_Chapter&category=CUI

On looking in my truck manual my paint codes come out as 3H1/168 this comes out as (3H1) Red Mica Metallic(body) and (168) Grey Metallic (top). Hope this garbled reply helps.

more

Hi.
Did a bit more digging on 'spieshecker.co.uk' site and came up with this under 'multi-colour' codes. All for Diahatsu

ND9 = B36 + S07 = Turquoise Blue Metallic + Silver Metallic
NG3 = B36 + 168 = Turquoise Blue Metallic + Grey Metallic

25L = 3H1 + 168 = Red Mica Metallic + Grey Metallic (my Truck)

Hope this helps

B36

B36 is the turqoise blue so that is correct

COLOUR CODES

That is very odd as both of mine have the correct colour codes on the VIN plate for the finish colour.

It is of little use to anyone to have the base coat code.

I would suggest a trip to your local Auto paint supplier, with the car and match it from their colour cards.
