I am pulling my hair out!!!
I own a 1989 2.8td fourtrak and have recently replaced a head gasket due to a very very deep puddle. The problem i have now is getting the wiring correct on the glow plugs, if someone could send a diagram or photo of the layout it would be a huge help. I am hoping it is the wiring that is the issue as it turns over but does not fire.the only other options is that it is the plugs but i dont want to buy a set if thats not the problem.Bit of a novice so any help would be greatly appreciated.

plugs
u could wire them up into a push button, maybe just to test if it is the wiring or maybe keep it with a push, i fing it much better on hard frosts.
simply, to test run a wire from the posative terminal and touch it on the metal strip that connects all 4 plugs leave it for 5 secs and then try.
or buy a push button, i got mine off ebay, cheep as hell, then run a posative from the battery into a relay, then into a push button in the vab, then from the cab to the metal strip, and then when u push the button the plugs will come on, i do this aswell as having the plugs on the key, as they only stay on for about 3 secs and its a t*at to start on cold morinings.
