I have an f300 but the auto front hubs wont lock. I notice that this is a common problem but being a full time carer for my disabled partner money is very short so am unable to get manual hubs at present. Was just wondering if it is possible to lock them in 4wd permanently and would it damage the vehicle in any way to do this. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

auto hubs
I have taken the auto hubs off the sportrak and they seem to be working fine but the brake return spring has broken on near side. Can anyone tell me where I might get a replacement spring as I do need the 4 wheel drive working for when I go beach fishing.
