fourtrak independant fuel running problems

Forum:

Hi I've got L reg independent F78 believe its a d-52 engine type, starts up OK, ticks over good & accelerates OK no sign of problem, while stationary. When you 1st start seems OK then starts vibrating as though its firing badly & gets progressively worse, bled from injectors & ran better for a while as though air in system then started playing up again no sign of any leaks. Drained fuel filter ,& primed using top bleed nut helps momentarily only, any suggestions thanks

??

if it sounds like air then i would suspect the fuel lines - these quite often show hidden problems thanks to age and corrosion, or its the one way valve in the fuel filter playing up?????????

Full of ideas but no time to do them!!

one way valve?

hi i think i'm having the same problem, did you find a solution?

also any chance you could tell me exactly where the one way valve is located? it could also be the solution to my problem.

on another note where in the service manual can i find information on the fuel system? i looked for ages but couldn't see anything on the fuel system.
cheers,
