sportrak alloy wheels fitting

Forum:

i am looking at buying a set of alloy wheels for my sportrak, will they fit straight on? at the moment, i have steels with 195/70/15's tyres but the alloy wheels have 225/70/15's
will they fit straight on or will i need to fit wheel arch extenders.

No, but you could try

No, but you could try fleabay or a breakers should you decide you want some. They sit pretty much flush with the arch itself anyway, and are only good for trapping mud as I found out to my cost!

The wider alloys make a world of difference to the handling.

I have the Indipendent 4trak

I have the Indipendent 4trak pepper pot / teardrop alloys on my Sporti. I belive they are wider than the standard Sporti alloy. They only have 215/75-15's on. They sit just at the right width.
I belive the law states that if you look straight down from above the wheel you should not be able to see any tread. Side wall is fine, but no tread. With mine you can just see the very edge of the tread (BF Goodrich AT's have a very 'hanging out over the edge' tread anyway).

Yes. Same stud patern. However the wheel arches will not take as large a tyre size.
