I got a OBD2 cable off ebay
I got a OBD2 cable off ebay the other week for my 03 YRV Turbo and it works fine, so can't see you having any problems with a 2002 Terios as OBD2 devices apparently are meant to work with some vehicles 1996 and newer, or almost all 1999 and newer. Have also managed to get PDF file which lists Daihatsus OBD2 error codes, which I will put up as a page on the site as some point in the near future.
