I`m new to the forum and new to daihatsu having had toyota`s.I have a yrv 130 and the problem is that when i put the car in drive from cold there is a squeal until the car is warm,was wondering has anyone else had this and is there a cure (sounds like fan belt)..

Sounds like the Serpentine
Sounds like the Serpentine belt, the Daihatsu YRV loaner car I usually end up with when mines in for it's Bi-annual service @ the garage did this. Had my serpentine belt changed on it's second service for piece of mind more than anything else. Should cure the problem you describe.
