re locking on rear door

I have a 1995 sportrax which the rear door will not unlock when i unlock the front doors. The central locking works on the two front doors fine. If anybody could help me please rectify this fault i would be gratfull

Hi

Good news , or maybe not. The central locking only works on the driver and passenger doors. The rear door is locked and unlocked using the switch on the center console only.

A bit of a silly design and I am sure it could be incorporated but have never bothered to investigate.

Think it might just be a Japanes thing, as my Delica is the same. Operate tailgate lock from a dash switch, but it is not on the central locking circuit.

hi thanks mate the problem i've got is that the door will not lock or unlock on the switch on the centre console

Hi. I have the same problem but after looking into it i found that the central locking only operated the front doors on my F78.

I have power at the switch so the fuse is ok.

The rear door did not operate either from the central console switch so radarears very kindly got me a replacement rear door solenoid unit from a breakers yard up in Perth.

I installed the switch on a temporary basis but found it still didnt work so its out with the multimeter and and trace the voltage through the switch and through to the solenoid.

Will report back once i trace the problem.
