Nothing to stop you putting

Nothing to stop you putting one in. A 2ltr terbo Diesel from a car maybe? You would prob have to beef up sespention though. More importantly, you would HAVE to do something about the gearing. Sporti gearing is quitr low. About 4000rpm in 5th is about 60mph. That's about full rev on most Diesels. Not good for performance or fuel acconamy.

Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.

I usually find that there is that one bolt / screw. It's either coroded to death, or rounded off by a previous owner, or just in a really awkward / stupid place. That one then procedes to take as long to conquer as the rest of the job put together...

the easiest way to do a

the easiest way to do a diesel conversion is to get hold of a rusted out 2.8td fourtrack, swap engines and gearbox, youll then have all the fidly little bits youll need.
but i have to say its probably not worth the hassle , just buy a runner and use the petrol one as the spare parts dept.

thanks to everyone

Wink thanks for all the input.hopefully i should have the head back for the weekend.forever the optamist Biggrin
