can anyone help me with a problem i have with my daihatsu 4 trak L reg 7.5 - the fuse that protects the instrument warning lights/reversing light/voltmeter keeps blowing. need to replace the reversing lightswitch on top of gearbox, but can it be replaced without lowering gearbox a little??

Hi.
So you replace the fuse and guess what, the next time you select reverse the fuse blows.
This happened to me in my first few weeks of ownership, and I also could not see how to remove the switch, with out lowering the box, so I pulled the connectors and wired in a illuminated dash switch and new cable to a new light unit rather than the candle powered rear pillar one.
