Hello can someone tell me why the engine speed is going up and down on my sportrak when idling.its ok when started first then when left running for few minutes the speed is up and down

mine does it
i dont think it is a problem, mine has done it ever since i got it. sometimes it will be as high as 1500 rpm but others it will drop to 400 rpm, then sometimes it waves about between 400 - 600. it still runs like a dream though, never had any problems
