Forum:
Long story but after the cold spell over xmas our Terios engine seized following what looked like an oil pump failure. Anyway to cut a long story short my brother and i fitted a new reconditioned engine and she is now back on the road and running well apart from a couple of small niggles.
1 Can anyone tell me were the purge rubber hose connects to that comes from the charcoal cannister !!! Is this just a breather as we have looked and looked and cannot find anywhere for it to connect !!
2 Ocasionally the engine will judder when slowing down at a junction (happens hot and cold). You either change down through the gears or a slight press of the clutch seems to stop it. Its a very occasional problem and not really a big thing but annoying none the less
wondering it the two or connected or as suspect completely different.
Any help greatly appreciated
Neal
ps who in the name of good god thought out the location of the thermostat housing on the back of the motor, after fitting the new motor the housing sprung a water leak........talk about the most awkward of locations !!!!!!!!!!!

Hey up, one of the pipes, the one with a 90 deg bend on it, just pops its head through a hole in the body. Its just a breather.
thanks
Hey thankyou thats what i suspected, have you any idea were i could locate the hole !!! Will have another explore around when i get home from work this evening.
Cheers Neal
ps i am assuming you mean the pipe with the 90 deg bend and not the pipe that connects to the 90 deg connector on the cannister which goes to the fuel tank.
Hmm...
Yes mate the pipe has a 90 deg bend right near the end, also the hole is in the box section, but you'll be able to see it easy as it's the hole the pipe will reach to!
