hi all i have a rocky 2.8td and its running a bit bad
it starts first time and ticks over a bit rough but when you rev it it will only go to 1500revs then it dies[it dosnt stall it just gos to 500revs]!!!! with white smoke!
i have checked all pipes and there ok.i have put a new filter in. cleand tank and bled the diesel still the same
there is no oil in water
and no water in oil.
IS THIS MY PUMP!!!!!:help:

Sounds very much like your pump, try a local diesel injection expert, they can easily diagnose the problem and confirm the pump. If it were the turbo it would still rev.
If the pump is found not to be delivering fuel because of an internal problem, have it fully reconditioned rather than repaired. It will cost more, but guarantee no future failures.
