Help I have a 2001 Terios it has started running rough on occasion today did 5 trips 5 miles each run ok then ran as if on choke realy rough stopped after 4miles the run ok
this started 4 weeks ago been to 2 daihatsu dealers cannot locate fault, had new plus 2 weeks ago 1 dealer says may be split valve but run ok for 2 weeks since he said that
if split valve car would run

Hi mine was doing the same so
Hi mine was doing the same so had a compression check and found a burnt valve which requires head off and new valve.
Running Rough
I doubt the valve it can run ok for days on end and the come on whilst driving or after a stop .
This morning it started after a 5 mile run so I took out of gear and floored the accelerator there was a cough and its run ok since. I think it is whaterver sends more fuel when cold as when it is doing it its like running with the ( choke out )

problem now sorted the fault was an open circuit relay coil on the no4 pot injector new injector fitted (
so replacement injector cured

Where did you get your injector from?and how much did it cost?

After much testing today I found the injecter solonoid coil open circuit cannot source a used one so ordered a new one
